Be Realistic - While many folks have reported that one or two hypnosis sessions have changed their lives, this is the exception and not the rule. Even with instant results, a series of sessions is necessary for meaningful lasting results. Everyone responds differently to hypnosis. Some habits are more deeply entrenched than others and levels of motivation are also different. It's not whether hypnosis works, but how much and what kind of hypnosis is necessary in order to deliver the exact results you want.
